Each are engineered in the USA, and manufactured in Europe.
More Info
Gbrakes® carries performance-grade motorcycle brake rotors built for real braking demands. These are selected for material, design, and heat management. We’ve got clearly labeled line ends so you know exactly where each hose mounts, no guessing, no mix-ups. Proudly made in the USA.
Material Quality
We use 420 high carbon virgin stainless steel
- This steel maintains a high degree of hardness and possesses good corrosion resistance, grinding properties, and moderate tensile strength and wear resistance.
Durability
Heat treatment application
- Heat treatment ensures hardness while preserving the right amount of flex, preventing cracking over longer periods of time.
Precision
Laser-cut, never stamped
- Laser cutting is non-contact, precise, and accurate. When the surface of the steel is stamped, it bends the material, leaving a memory imprint that increases the probability of warping under high heat and performance conditions.
Symmetry
Parallel double disc grinding process
- Double disc grinding is a special method employed that simultaneously grinds two sides of the rotor with a focus on achieving ideal flatness and parallelism for a tight tolerance surface finish.
Technology
We apply a special Cryo-Tech™ treatment to our rotors
- Cryo-Tech™ Treatment is a special process that our laser-cut stainless-steel rotors go through to improve quality and longevity. The benefit of Cryo-Tech® is that it improves hardness by transforming retained austenite into martensite, which is a harder phase of steel, thus improving durability and longevity.
Tech Support
U.S.-based live technical support
- Our technical experts are available via phone, email, or chat.
Warranty
Rotors come with a 6-month limited warranty (proof of purchase required)
- All warranty products are individually inspected in-house by one of our experienced and qualified technicians and inspected within 24 hours of receiving the package.
- All warranty issues are handled directly through GBrakes®, regardless of what distributor you purchased from.
Pioneering
GBrakes® coined the industry-wide recognized term Wave® as a style of rotor and owns the mark
- Wave references a rotor design known for lightweight performance, the ability to run cooler, and improved heat dissipation with less fade for performance enhancement. If it claims Wave but is not GBrakes®, it’s not a Wave® rotor.

Rotor Materials, Designs & What to Know

- Fixed brake rotors (one-piece) : bolt solid to the hub, simple and durable. Great for lighter street bikes or cruisers with mild braking needs. But under heat, they expand unevenly, risking warping.
- Floating rotors (two-piece) : use carrier mounts and bobbins to allow the braking disc to shift independently of the hub. That float keeps the disc centered under heat and load, reducing warping and improving performance consistency. Also helps reduce heat transfer to the wheel hub and bearings

- High-carbon brake rotors : resist thermal-cracking and disperse heat more efficiently than plain steel . They’re pricier, but they resist blueing and distortion under stress.
- Stainless steel rotors : offer corrosion resistance and everyday reliability. Ideal for commuting or moderate riding—but on aggressive platforms, they can suffer under sustained heat.

- These can have slots, waves, or drilled patterns, but this isn’t just for looks. Drilled holes help clear gas, water, and dust, improving wet braking by breaking fluid film. Unlike cars, most bikes don’t need vented channels due to airflow exposure .
- Wavy or floating-disc designs optimize mass closer to the hub, reducing overall inertia and improving weight distribution .

- The front brake rotors do most of the stopping, requiring larger size, higher-quality materials, and consistent performance under repetitive braking. The rear ones are smaller, handle less heat, and focus on stability and lugging, especially under load (cruisers, touring).
What Are Brake Discs Made Of & How It Matters

Signs You Need New Rotors
- Pulsation under braking = likely warped disc
- Blue or dark discoloration = heat-soaked rotor
- Cracks or surface scoring = replace now
- Rotor surface uneven = affecting pad contact
Riding on faded or warped ones are not only unsafe, it ruins pad performance and feedback.

Amazing Company and Employees J SMay 23, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Customer service was amazing. Excellent products. Bill SFebruary 13, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 1990 Suzuki VX800 Well, honestly I was just looking at the website to see what they offered and how easy/difficult it would be to get a part for my particular machine. As usual I looked at the menu and utilized their drop down options, and as usual my particular bike was not listed. I usually stop at this point and move on BUT decided to use their "Inquiry Request" form and see how long it would take. Here is were I have to be realistic, this could be a small operation where all the employees and owner/operator are probably working and answer inquiries in the evening, no problems, I can wait. The following day a representative by the name of Stu answered back and stated they did in fact have the specifications for my ride, he listed the item number and price and added if I would like to go thru with the order I can call. He also apoligized for any inconvenience since my bike was not listed, but lets face it folks, if they listed every single bike manufactured since the dawn of time I would be on that site all day. Call I did, it was Stu that picked up and after 30 seconds he knew who I was by motorcycle type. Stu took down what color line and banjo fitting (Natural of course) and of course "CC" and mailing address. He did ask how much of a hurry I was to get the lines. As I stare out the window and see 4" of snow on the ground "sigh"...."Not in a hurry Stu, they get here when they get here". Everything verified via email to include shipping information and within 7 working days 2 beautiful steel braided lines arrived at my door step, box O goodies with stickers too!!....... Now if only Stu can ship the riding season in a box :) NickMay 19, 2023Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Set and forget bicycle brake rotors.
