Pad Compounds, Performance, and What to Look For

Choosing the right option means understanding how compounds behave under heat, pressure, and speed. Ours aren’t just friction blocks are your first line of control. Choosing wrong affects bite, fade resistance, noise, feel, and rotor longevity.
Sintered Brake Pads (Metallic Compound)

Sintered pads are made from powdered metal pressed and baked at high temperatures. The result is a high-friction pad that thrives under abuse. These pads handle heat better than anything else. They bite hard when hot, recover quickly between braking zones, and maintain performance when lighter compounds give up.

They’re ideal for:

Downside? They can be loud, harder on rotors, and overkill for lighter machines. But for braking confidence under pressure, sintered is the gold standard.
Organic Brake Pads
Ceramic Brake Pads (Non-Metallic Compound)

Ceramic pads combine ceramic fibers with copper or carbon for a stable, smooth compound. They produce less dust, stay quiet, and offer more linear lever feel. Carbon/Ceramic Hybrid Pads – Engineered exclusively for professional racing applications.

They work well for:

They don’t offer the raw bite of sintered pads, especially when cold, but for riders who value feel over peak friction, they’re a smart move.
Ceramic Brake Pads
Organic Brake Pads (Non-Asbestos Organic / NAO)

Organic pads are made with resin-bonded natural and synthetic fibers. They’re quiet, easy on rotors, and cheap to replace. That said, they’re not built for heat. Glazing, fading, and accelerated wear are common if pushed too hard.
Use these only if:

For aggressive riding or repeated hard stops, skip organic. You’ll chew through them and compromise stopping power.
